ACED Classes Begin Saturday at MCC-Longview

Is there a developmentally disabled person in your life who would be interested in taking continuing education classes?

Adult Continuing Education for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (ACED) fall 2012 classes will be starting at MCC-Longview this Saturday, September 8. Classes are held for six Saturdays,? three sessions each day, beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 12:35 p.m.

The ACED program is designed to teach independent living skills and provide life-enhancing experiences. More information about the program can be found on the UMKC Institute for Human Development website.

Classes include topics in art, history, geography, politics, fitness, and more. Students must be at least 16 years of age and a Jackson County resident to participate. Preregistration is required; walk-in registrations will not be accepted. Fee for each class is $6.
